Florence:
The highlight of the trip, Florence, was the birthplace of much of Italy’s (and the world’s) best known art and architecture. Wine lovers will be pleased to finish off the day in the heart of the Chianti region.
Beyond sampling fabled Chianti wines, you will see how olive oil is processed and have lunch in a local farmhouse.
San Galgano:
You will move on to San Galgano and to the site of its fabled abbey begun in the 1200’s.
Siena/Pienza/Wine Tastings:

More top destinations for wine lovers, Montepulciano, where you can sample its robust red wine.

The next day will find you hunting truffles. Unlike grouse hunting you won’t have to be a good shot! However, in Italy where you will hunt truffles with pigs, watch out that your “porcine associate” does not greedily gobble up everything he finds!
From the Norcia Valley, you will move on to a different kind of adventure, a raft trip gliding along the Nera River!
Rome:
From Umbria, you will travel to Rome to depart the next day or connect with an additional local tour.
