Fly to Lithuania. -
DAY 2
You will arrive in the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius. -
DAY 3After breakfast, your tour will begin with a comprehensive view of Vilnius.-This capital city was a 16th century cultural and university center. It drew students from as far away as Hungary and Sweden.-After the conflicts of the 20th century as a member of the Warsaw Pact, Lithuania has flourished since the fall of the Berlin Wall.-Vilnius restored its Baroque buildings and has been named a UNESCO World Heritage site.-After the university, you will tour the Peter and Paul Cathedral and have free time in the Old Town.

DAY 4Feeling adventuresome?-Take a high altitude and high-octane tour high above the city in a hot-air balloon.-For a change of pace, you will take a tour of the lake resort of Trakai and learn about local culture.

DAY 5
Time for a different type of museum, the Rumsiskes Open-Air Museum.-From there, you will on on to Klaipeda on the Dane River. -
DAY 6

DAY 7You will then explore Klaipeda further, once the capital of Prussia before moving on to Riga, Latvia.

DAY 8You will be delighted by Riga. Riga besides being the capital of Latvia is the largest of the Baltic cities.-Riga’s Old Town has marvelous medieval architecture.

DAY 9You will see Ligatne, famous during the Soviet era.

DAY 10Travel to Tallinn, capital of Estonia-You will visit a famous local castle.

DAY 11Explore Tallinn via a city tour.-You will see the Old Wall and Old Town Hall.-From there, you will move on to the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral getting a diverse view of the capital.

DAY 12You will see Peter the First’s Kadriorg Park which includes a palace.-In modern times, the Estonian President’s residence is adjacent.-Next you will tour the KUMU Museum, one of the largest art museums in the north of Europe.

DAY 13
From Tallinn, you will travel on to the fabled city of the czars, St. Petersburg, Russia. -
DAY 14
The highlight of your entire trip will likely be St. Petersburg.-The storied Hermitage Museum, once a palace, can take a half to whole day to just touch the surface.-Don’t leave without seeing either a performance of the world-class Russian Ballet performance.-For a real change of pace, see a really different but exciting performance of the Russian Folk Show. -
DAY 15On this final full day in St. Petersburg, you will have a very special treat outside the city, the Catherine Palace. —This colorful Rococo Palace has more than 1,000 rooms. However, it was merely a summer residence of Catherine the Great!
