For an adventure travel package top solo travel deal New Zealand, do read on. I personally made this a 17 day trip. I flew from Washington, DC to LA and on to Hawaii. After a long night in the airport, I made my way to New Zealand where I had an all day layover. I spent it on a taxi tour of the North Island. I saw lots of sheep! I then flew back three hours east to the spend a few days in the islands of Rarotonga and Aitutaki. On return to New Zealand for the rest of the trip, I had had two vacations in one.
I had a great stay at the 4 star Chateau Tongariro. It mixes the feel of England in days gone by with the exotic, distant Pacific. It has many sports to offer or just the chance for a relaxing spa. So do read on to see how this can be a top solo travel destination!

The first thing I saw: The Chateau Tongariro Hotel looked like a country manor in the UK. The only change was that it was set among palm trees! It was a mix of Polynesia with the Commonwealth. Although it was a lodge on a grand scale, it still felt like a comfortable, cozy home.
The 4 star Chateau Tongariro is nestled in the National Park. Besides hiking, you can play 9 holes of golf, or take in a movie on site. You can set out on a day trek of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Coming from the Northern Hemisphere, I was delighted to ski in my summer while friends at home were lounging on the beach! Nearby is Australasia’s biggest ski field. Also close by, within 30 minutes, are two rivers, the Taupo and the Whanganui.
Guests have access to 30 minutes of free WiFi during their visit.
On site there are billiards, a fitness center, indoor plunge pool and sauna.
The Chateau Tongariro has two on site restaurants. Our verified reviews say the food here is great! There is also a bar as well as room service.
